A rare survival of this manuscript document, signed and sealed, appointing John Mappletoft as domestic chaplain to the household of Irish politician, George De La Poer, Earl of Tyrone. The document appoints John Mappletoft of the city of Dublin, clerk as domestic chaplain to the Earl of Tyrone and "...to have, hold and enjoy all & singular the benefits, priviledges (sic), liberties and advantages and of right granted to the chaplains of nobility." A very good copy (patches of light toning to exposed pages).
