Single sheet, 30.5 x 12.5cm, printed on vellum on one side with manuscript insertions and deletions, incipit printed in Gothic type. A well-preserved example of a criminal court sentence printed on vellum of some two hundred and fifty words, issued from Cheltenham Petty Sessions court in Gloucestershire to a Edward Welch, a labourer of Cheltenham, who "... did threaten to mark one Roland Robert Eves...." for this Edward was found guilty, fined five pounds and bound over to "... keep the peace towards the said Roland Robert Eves and all for the term of one month."
