The Società Filopedica Tifernate was a Castello based society dedicated to adult education that ran between 1870 and 1906, offering a range of adult education classes and a circulating library. This work details the statutes of operation of the society and the circulating library over 38 articoli, gives an interesting summary of the history and development of the circulating library in Europe and Italy with usage statistics, includes an address by the society president on the value and use of the circulating library together with a final note recording significant donors.
