Goldney, details the character of Assistant Master, C.E.Newcomb, who had recently resigned his post. Goldney says of him that he "...found him a most useful and energetic master, thoroughly conscientious in the discharge of his duties and very much liked by the boys." He concludes "My pupils and myself were equally grieved when he resigned his office." A very good copy (light toning to blank top edge of first page).
