Comprehensive manuscript mathematics exercise copy book of Eberneezer Anderson of Bo’ness, Scotland. The manuscript comprises detailed mathematics exercises in both practical and abstract mathematics. Exercises include algebra, fractions, weight, calculating area and practical examples such calculating area for tiling; roofing, and walling; chimney and board measurement, and area of squared timber. Anderson appears to have married Elizabeth Shortreid, daughter of Robert Shortreid, a Leith merchant, at Leith on the 12th Feb 1796 cf The Scots Magazine Feb 1796. A very good copy.
